Emptying some of Marko's old boxes was a trip down memory lane. So much fun!
Army hat and sociology reading

Old friends (and haircuts)
Graduation hat and college books
Heli & Marko
The cool kid
The cool teenager
Marko the nurse (student)
More news from Lieksa: Samu got to eat the fish he caught all by himself. He was so proud! :-)
A common and heartwarming scene from our Lieksa life.
Samu also did some great art.
And we took another trip to the beach.
Sofia: always in motion, always loud, often goofy, almost always happy.
Samu: always busy, always "working", never interested in taking pictures.
Hee hee.
Our first sauna as a whole family. First the kids were very serious and listened to our explanations carefully.
But of course that didn't last and soon enough they were comfortable enough to goof around.

Another highlight of our Finnish summer: Ilosaarirock Festival - the festival Marko has been attending since his teenage years. Joensuu, here we come! Thank you to Ukki and Mummi for babysitting!!
Festival + lake = summer feeling
Our favorite band: Santa Cruz
Placebo
Back in Lieksa, we rested and even skipped day 2 of the festival (much to Hanna's disappointment). We took portraits of the kids and are looking forward to Heli's family's visit and the children's birthday celebration.
