GOODBYE FINLAND, HELLO AUSTRIA!

We were so excited to spend our last days in Finland with Heli, Olli, Helmi, Vilho, and Liinu. A house full of children is a good house! It was really nice to see that Samu and Sofia were connecting really well with their cousins - they clearly remembered them.

Part of these last days was also a birthday celebration for Samu & Sofia. Lucky kids!
When do we get to eat this masterpiece?

Yummy!

Police car + baby doll = perfect gifts

All in all, it was a wonderful birthday at the end of a wonderful time in Finland. Although leaving Finland will never be enjoyable, it was a little easier to say goodbye this time, knowing that we will very likely get a lot of Finland time in the future. ;-)
Austria welcomed us with hot hot heat - and the perfect way to cool down: a pool!

With the apricot harvest in full swing, there was a lot to do - fantastic news for Samu!

But of course the best part was seeing our Austrian family again.

After a few days in Langenlois ...

Hanna left to Salzburg for a day to celebrate Evi's birthday. So good to see you, ladies! Thank you for a memorable time! Big hugs!!

Finally, the moment we have all been waiting for: Meeting Franziska, newest member of the clan and the only real redhead! What an adorable little treasure!

Another treasure and redhead: Tante Kathi. Yeah!

An important summer ritual: Measuring children

On the other end of the kids' age spectrum, Elias turned 5! Hard to believe, but we have a really big boy in our midst now. Not only did he get a bike, he also learned how to bike on his birthday - within a few minutes.

Samu and his summer love: biking
Too fast for pictures: Esther

The Austrian cousins: Franziska, Sofia, Elias, Esther, Samuel - a pretty cool gang.

After some playing time in the "pirate cave", it was time to call it a day.

Thank you, everyone, for a great get-together! Happy birthday again, Elias!
