HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Our kids did not really warm up to the idea of dressing up. Sofia, of course, dislikes all acts of getting dressed and undressed. Otherwise she is pretty laid back.
Samu was very picky about his costume. The only one that he did not completely reject was a pink glittery unicorn. (Yay!) Unfortunately it was way too unpractical and too big for him. He settled for a construction worker's outfit. Phew.

Samu's daycare organized a Halloween Party. We were very grateful for the policy: no masks, no scary costumes, no weapons. Although Samu is still suspicious of the whole concept of Halloween, he did like some parts of it. For example his best friends (or should I say superfriends) Motya and Arjun and their costumes.
Or dissecting a pumpkin with lady bugs.
Or exploring pumpkins at the sensory table.
All in all, it was nice, harmless fun! Happy Halloween!

MORE FALL COLORS

Blue and yellow.
 Just blue.

 White and green. And pink.
Looking for colors while shopping: When we got to the local supermarket Rainbow's, Samu asked: "Where is the rainbow?" He was disappointed not to find it, but excited about dropping all kinds of things into the cart.

Samu always always wants to help, in daycare, at home, and in the supermarket.
Our little artist makes our fall (and himself) even more colorful.

 Red-white-red: Austria's National Day.

 Gorgeous colorful Sunday.

FALL COLORS

Here are some of our favorite colors of the week for you, dear readers. Enjoy!
WHITE ... like the whole kitchen when Samu and Marko are baking together

RED ... like our excitement at seeing Samu and Sofia develop so well

(Samu arranged these candles all by himself, including the napkin he placed them on.)
 (Simply heartwarming!)
YELLOW ... like leaves and Samu's new easy-to-spot jacket

(Just like Samu at that age, Sofia loves to stare into trees.)

BLACK ... like the night on Hanna's night out in honor of Mel's birthday

BLUE ... like Samu's daycare pictures, which he loves to look at

LOOK WHO'S TALKING!

BEAUTIFUL

Because the weather was so beautiful on this gorgeous autumn weekend, we spent most of it outside, away from phones and computers (but with kids and assignments to grade). Even though we can't offer any pictures of the golden sun and the red leaves we enjoyed, we have something just as beautiful and special for our blog readers: Sofia's face (and sound). Enjoy!

SAMU'S ART

Samu loves to paint. The more paint and the messier the better. Interestingly, our experimental art sessions often lead to very impressive results. Go Samu!

Look how awesome Samu's paintings look in our living room! We got ourselves a family artist!
