PRODIGY

IT WAS ANOTHER REGULAR WEEK ...

but then again, so many things are happening: Samu is developing empathy! He is reading to his Kasperl, bringing him pacifiers and bottles and covering him with blankets. He also loves to take care of his dog and tiger friends. It's so nice to see how gentle and caring he can be.

The moving boxes that we are collecting in our apartment are perfect drawing boards.

Samu always, always wants to help, especially in the kitchen. The little jobs we give him he does with great enthusiasm (and very quickly).
And finally we can feel spring coming! We spent almost all of Sunday outside by the Uptown Lakes and on playgrounds. Wonderful!

Have a great week, everyone!

ALTHOUGH ...

winter has been a lot of fun ...

... we hope that these blue and sunny skies are the promise of spring.
We are ready for you, spring!

ROUTINE

can be wonderful! Especially when it's the kind that makes you feel like everything is just running smoothly. Here are some highlights of our recent every day life.

Yoghurt!
 Art
 Our kind of "superbowl" ;-)
Made by Marko, enjoyed by all.
Reading

And then there were some fantastic disruptions of our routine like brunch with friends (no pictures exist) and wedding dress shopping for lovely Beth (most pictures can't be revealed). All we can say about the wedding dress shopping trip is that it was super fun and Beth is probably not going to wear a veil. Thank you for these wonderful times, friends!
And our favorite highlight: Getting tons of positive feedback about Samu from daycare teachers. He is known there as a super friendly and curious kids, who is always positive, excited and interested in what's going on. He also can say all the kids' names and is apparently giving away lot s of hugs. We could not be prouder ...
Big discovery of the week: Sitting on the toilet! Yay!

FRIENDSHIP

Friendship needs to be celebrated. So does communism. For the 4th time, we celebrated friendship day with Jenna and George in a red setting - this time, we ate out at a Russian restaurant and vodka bar. Excellent food, inspiring conversations, great atmosphere - delicious in many ways!

We tried to take couple pictures ...

 Delicious from appetizers to desserts.

Horseradish vodka, cucumber vodka, ginger vodka ... do I need to say more?
Seeing things in the right (=left) light ...
Thank you for a perfect evening to Jenna, George and our awesome babysitter Zach!

INDOORS

Because of the freezing cold, we had to look for alternatives to going outside to play. Here is one thing we found: an indoor playground in a mall. We were not super happy about it at first, but that changed when we saw Samu's excitement.
 Just leanin' ...

 Up ...
... and down ...

(and repeat ... and repeat ... and repeat ...)

DAYCARE

is going so well theses days! Samu is excited to go there and the reports that come back are almost always very positive ... and entertaining :)

We have a dancer!
He acts like a big kid? Sounds about right. He was full of hugs? Wow, we rarely have this privilege.
All the things they learn, like covering their cough - bravo, daycare!
