Our time in Austria has been wonderful, but quite busy. Here's an attempt to catch up.
Our trip from our favorite airport (Helsinki) to Vienna was really pleasant for everyone.
Lower Austria greeted us with an amazing sunset.
And two days later we found ourselves amidst beautiful mountains and lovely people for the first highlight of this Austrian summer: our family-mountain-vacation. We hope it will become a tradition!
Welcome/reunion drinks.
A special welcome to the newest family member in Irene's belly! ;-))
The next day, we visited Bischofshofen: the church, the city, the ski jump, and the supermarket.
We found a lovely place to swim.
Sofia stayed with Oma for a long time!
But our favorite thing, as always, is to connect with our family -
and watch our children do the same.
Lots of chores needed to be done around the house - and Samu was always ready and willing to help. He didn't want to play, he just wanted to work.
Uncle Benedikt!
Every day we drove through these amazing landscapes.
Selfies with bros.
The next highlight was a trip to an animal park close to the highest mountains of Austria. Great views + great animals + great company + great weather = a great time!
Oh deer! :-)
Fantastic news for Kathi between the deer and the donkey: Congratulations on the new job!!!
Samu's favorites: Alpacas.
A few of us wanted to go even higher and drive up the Glocknerstraße to catch a peek of Austria's highest peaks.
It was simply wonderful. More to come ...
