where we left off. Last weekend we didn't do much. We discovered the Millenium park, just a few minutes drive from our house ...
... and spent a lot of time at various playgrounds.
Samu rediscovered doing arts projects.
This one is called "Boston and Finland".
And, as always, we did a LOT of cleaning.
And soon enough, another week started.
On our daily ride to school, Samu has been really mad if he didn't get to take pictures.
So Hanna surrendered the camera. He is actually taking pretty cool shots, like this one:
On Monday nights, the kids are super affectionate and excited when Mama gets home late after teaching her evening class.
Work is often fun. This is the view from the School of Education's neighbor building on campus, where Hanna attended a reception this week.
Friday usually means a) we are super tired and b) we are hauling home a huge load of groceries.
Oh yes, and this: c)
This weekend, we decided it was time to get out again. Summer came back for a few days, and with temperatures around 30 C, the weather was perfect for a boat trip to Spectacle Island.
So we went to Boston Harbor and ...
waited for ...
our ship!
We all enjoyed the views of the harbor, the sea, and ...
the Boston skyline!
And after about 30 minutes, we arrived at Spectacle Island...
where we enjoyed more wonderful views.
And when the kids fell asleep...
... we went for a swim. We like you, Atlantic Ocean!
We were also reminded, that the sea does not belong (only) to us ...
After the boat trip, the plan was to go home and have dinner, but Quincy Market and downtown Boston charmed us into staying. We threw our plans out the window, strolled through the crazy crowds, and watched the sun set over the harbor. It was fantastic and, for the first time, this city felt like ours.
Good night, Boston! Thank you for a wonderful Saturday.
Sunday was gardening day. We are almost done replanting our grass!
It's going to be pretty!
Happy new week! Have a great one!
