SPRING MINI-BREAK

BU is on spring break, and although/because we have a ton of work to do, we decided to take two days off and spend them on Cape Cod.

Ready to go! Our kids are enthusiastic travelers.

First stop: Provincetown. The weather at the extreme tip of the cape was wonderfully mild. Perfect for a stroll at the beach.

Ducks!

One of the friendliest cities we've ever walked through. We felt truly welcome.

After a few hours in Provincetown, we drove back to Hyannis and checked into our hotel.

Still one of the kids' favorite things in the world: Running along hotel hallways.
Big plus: Not having to cook or clean the kitchen. Thank you, family-friendly restaurants!

After a fantastic evening of swimming in a heated and colorfully lit outdoor pool and a great kid-friendly indoor wave pool, we slept very well. Day 2 was dedicated to another beach trip: destination Craigsville Beach.

Tired and happy, we left the Cape homeward bound.
And we returned back to spring! Welcome, warmth and sunshine!

More good news: Our car is finally fixed after an accident last week. And they even cleaned it! :-)
Happy spring (break) everyone!

INTERRUPTIONS

We have been so so busy with work as the spring semester is now in full swing and we lost quite some work time due to snow days. But every now and then, we are forced to come up for air - here are our favorite interruptions of the past weeks:

Fancy work lunch in the BU castle

Driving to work in the sunshine
 Samu's excitement about homework
Sofia and Samu really liking each other
 Art projects

Marko's conference trip to NYC was a huge success ... in many ways ;-)
Birthday festivities part 1: Marko brought back champagne and cupcakes from NYC.

Birthday festivities part 2: Barbecuing in the backyard. That must mean it's officially spring, right?

Samu and Sofia - just hanging ...

Birthday festivities part 3: The party! We celebrated with Kate & Matt and their son Abe (Samu's best Boston friend) and Leslie & Laura and their sons Jake and Alex. So much fun!

Thank you all for coming, sending cards, texts, emails, and messages!! You probably know how important birthdays are to Hanna, and you made her feel very happy and grateful!
