Spring is here! Traumatized from last year's winter, it took us a while to believe it, but with temperatures around 20C, we are starting to trust that there won't be any more blizzards.
The sun and warmth have make us even more active than usual!
The kids have been painting a lot.

Last Saturday, we visited our dear French friends in Providence, where Samu and Sofia were allowed to watch some TV.
But most of the time, we have enjoyed being outside in parks and our backyard.
The kids have exchanged winter hats for summer hats.
Hanna and Marko were on spring break last week, but still had a lot of work to do. Working from home and enjoying long breaks in between work sessions has been (almost) relaxing.
Picnic time is back!
After daycare and additional play time in the park, we often get home later than usual.
When the weather is not quite warm enough to have dinner outside, we enjoy the potentially last barbecues in our living room.
Post-bath games
Spring jackets!
Since we didn't take a real spring break, we thought we deserved at least a family get-away over the weekend. And so we took Friday off and went to Plymouth, a quaint little town a 45-minute drive from our house.
After the traditional bed-jumping-session, ...
we got ready to dive into the hotel pool.
So much fun!
After swimming we still had enough time to catch the sunset at the close-by beach.
Playing with the waves. Unfortunately one of them caught Samu and he got quite wet. He got over it pretty fast though.
We figured out that the success of a family trip largely depends on the availability of a family-friendly restaurant, preferably within the hotel complex. This time, we had that and loved it.
Thankfully the people there were quite tolerant of our "table manners". ;-)
On Saturday, we visited Plymouth Rock. The Mayflower II was still in her winter home, but we will come back to see that and visit Plimouth plantation as well. The Plymouth Rock itself, the place where allegedly the so-called "Pilgrims" arrived to the (already inhabited!) land of today's USA in 1620, is rather small and unspectacular. However, the park around it is very pretty.
The next stop was Nelson Beach. Playground, sun, water - the perfect place for us.
Samu and Sofia were invited to help feed the seagulls.
And after two days by the ocean, we returned home with a lot of souvenirs.
Plymouth Rocks ;-)
Here we continue to enjoy the lovely weather.
Have a great new week!
