We were SO excited for Oma & Opa to visit us. Samu and Sofia enjoyed every second with them (as did we). After only a few hours it felt like Oma and Opa were regular visitors:
A 3-generation-breakfast (only 2 made it into the picture)
Did we mention that we had a blizzard followed by a snow storm? Everyone was invited to shovel, and we really appreciated the extra help.
The best thing to do on a snow day: A puppet show!
Thankfully, we had had a beautiful and sunny day the day before, which we had spent in downtown Boston.
View from Quincy Market on the Custom Tower
Coffee break under the dome of the Quincy Market building
The harbor
The Tea Party Museum
Stroll around the harbor area
Quick views from the car: Copley Square (Trinity Church) and Commonwealth Avenue
Although it was sad to let them go (to NYC first and the back home), we are so happy we were able to show our new home and life to Oma and Opa. What a courageous and challenging decision to come to the US - we are incredibly thankful that you were able to make this trip.
