We have spent some wonderful weeks lately! First of all, it feels so good to be back at work! Marko's research project and Hanna's dissertation and teaching gig are all going very well. Second, we are enjoying the company of our dear Finnish friends Jussi, Noora, and Kasperi, who are currently visiting Minnesota. Third, we have been lucky to be able to attend a whole bunch of social gatherings that were all highly enjoyable - play dates, sport watching dates, walks, happy hours, dinner dates ... Amazingly, both our kids have been super well behaved during these events. Sadly, however, we have not managed to take any pictures of these special get-togethers. Instead, we seem to keep taking pictures of what we love the most: life with Samu and Sofia. So here are some recent shots:
At 7 weeks, Sofia has gained a lot of weight, has long stretches of focused attention and is (still hesitantly) smiling. She has fallen into a good rhythm, eats and sleeps well, and has, now more than ever, stolen our hearts.

In this position, Sofia sleeps 4-5 hour stretches! Hurray for daddy!
