IT'S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS

We are so excited about Christmas approaching! Maybe we just really need a break? Maybe it's also because we love this time of the year ... and so does our son.

Admiring (but not touching!) the tree
 Hmmm, Bratäpfel!
This weekend was the last session of Suomi Koulu for this semester. Samu is a really interested, engaged student. Teacher Antti is doing a fabulous job.

After class was over, it was time to celebrate: The first pikku joulu (Christmas party) of the season!
The crowd gathered in the gym to celebrate Pikku Joulu and also the 10th anniversary of Suomi Koulu (which happened to be also Marko and Hanna's 10th anniversary!).

Director Peter giving a festive speech.
Kids listening carefully to more speeches. ;-)
And then the performances started, beginning with Samu's class (Pikku Myyt): Porsaita äidin oomme kaikki ...
 More kids performing ...

And even the teens (with excellent Finnish skills!) had a little something prepared.
Samu got really tired after all this action, so we decided to leave. But we were lucky - Santa was already waiting behind the door, so we didn't miss him completely. Naturally, Samu was scared of him.
Back at home, there was more to be done: Making an advent calendar and ...
 putting up stockings ...
 and Christmas lights.
Christmas can come! :)
