After a one-year delay, U2 finally made it to the campus stadium in Minneapolis, one of the last stops on their 360° tour. A great chance for all three of us to listen to some of the world's most famous songs only a few miles from our house. Achtung, baby boy, listen up!
The monstrous 360° stage, Interpol, the warm-up band...
... the 3 of us
... and over 60,000 other people.
Balloons are fun, but where's U2?
Here they come!!
Let the show begin!
Bono & Co sure know how to entertain a crowd. Some religious metaphors, their own famous tunes, a breathtaking light- and soundshow, a little bit of megalomania and a few cheesy lines - who would be immune to that?
She moves in mysterious ways.
Some things only Bono can pull off: A message from astronaut Mark E. Kelly, the husband of Arizonan Congresswoman Gabby Gifford who was shot in the head earlier this year. What did he say? "It's a beautiful day."
And of course a song for Amy Winehouse: Stuck in the moment. RIP, Amy!
View from further up where we sought shelter from the pouring rain for a while.
