TO BE OR NOT TO BE ... AMERICAN?

Without a TV and a car we have considered ourselves rather untypical Americans. (The Americans reading this will please forgive me my stereotyping! I am fully aware of it and do not really believe in it. You know that.) However, we have found ourselves picking up a few habits that we learned here, so maybe they could be considered American after all:

Drinking coffee/tea from a huge thermos mug (and preferably carrying it around wherever you go).

Milkshakes should be called MEAL-kshakes. They are definitely as filling as a meal. And soooo yummy!!! (Please note you get two glasses!)

Check (!) this out! I have never done this before - paying with checks. But it's impossible to do anything without these little babes here. Feels cool, somehow 80s.

Can you imagine teaching in a Parhamerplatz-Shirt? Well, let's say I (Hanna) went to this college party and did NOT wear one - very, very bad mistake!!! Got myself one very fast and put it on right away... (still wearing it, actually) By the way: CE+HD = College of Education and Human Development.
