Long story short, V-Day was a huge success, mostly thanks to our wonderful, amazing, professional cast - 22 women who turned pain into power. The result: $1500 for the Women's Advocates in St. Paul and women of the DRC, two very happy and exhausted directors, a lot of unforgettable moments. THANK YOU, supporters and readers!

V-DAY

preparations are filling our scarce freetime (and replacing sleeping and eating times) at the moment. Keep your fingers crossed for Friday!

RECIPE FOR A PERFECT SUNDAY

Take some great friends, a little bit of socialism, a great amount of spring sun and flowers, a terrace, a few drinks, a bike ride by the lake and stir it up, little darling, stir it up!

WELCOME TO OUR GARDEN!

As of today we're proud tenants of a garden patch in our community garden. Even though it was 9 am (so basically in the middle of the night) we enjoyed the work in the dirt a lot. We met some really nice people, too - some who knew Vienna and some who had lived in Joensuu (!!). What are the odds? Looks like at least the community aspect of the garden is working. As for the growing part, we'll have to see ...

FINALLY

we have received our driver's licenses! Now we can stop carrying the temporary ones (basically a sheet of paper) around and feel really adult when we are IDed in the liquor store. Cause that's when you REALLY need a license! Does anyone see the irony there? (I mean the fact that you need a license for something that you can't do while you're doing what you can only do with that license.)

HEALING WATERS

Equipped with our all time favorite car stickers (thanks Jenna and George!) we continued our Sunday tradition of exploring lakes. Just looking at the water can sometimes do the magic trick: After a few minutes next to White Bear Lake we felt like we had been on holiday for weeks. Nice!

FRIENDS

make a weekend what it is supposed to be - a wonderful time! Especially when they invite you to their babyshower or Arabian night. Also, the really great friends send you good pictures of their parties - hint, hint! Thanks, peeps!

HAPPY EASTER, EVERYONE!

And maybe one day we'll figure out how to take pictures of ourselves, heehee.

Coloring eggs is so much fun! Since the green didn't turn out and the red became pink, we produced some very girlie eggs - I guess we'll have to eat them soon ;-)
